250m2
We had to design a house for a couple whose children left the nest, the area of the house is about 250 square meters plus a garden, and it is spread over four levels.
On the first visit to this house, it was evident how dark the central space was due to two built elements, one of which separated the kitchen from the dining area and the entrance hall and the other between the television space and the central space. We had to take down these significant walls, their removal was essential for the success of the project.
On the entrance floor, we broke down all the walls we could, in order to enlarge and illuminate with natural light visible from the windows on this floor.
A new, fully equipped kitchen was ordered.
We wrapped the part of the wall that we couldn't take down in the kitchen with an interesting covering made of wood in a shade that would complement the kitchen. We created a partition in the style of wooden bars that creates glimpses and privacy between the TV viewing space and the rest of the house, this partition contains everything you need for entertainment and music and includes a fireplace facing the public part of This two-sided partition.
In the garden, we added a deck around the existing pool, and we paved the eating area with travertine-like porcelain tiles.
This family hosts guests coming from abroad, as well as their children and grandchildren, so we were asked to create two suites on the second level, which have a shared shower and toilet, which will serve the guests and provide maximum privacy, both for the guest and the permanent residents.
The parents' floor is the third level, we suggested reaching with the help of an elevator in addition to the staircase. Our offer was accepted, and an elevator was added whose shaft is made of steel and glass and is transparent to all the vertical stops, the elevator also formed an essential part of the space's character - both materially and geometrically.
We designed the master suite as a spacious room according to the client's request. In the master suite there is a spacious shower and toilet. and include a foyer and a hallway leading to a walk-in closet and all in one large space which is the master suite.
With the help of hidden artificial lighting around the ceiling of the bedroom, we created intimacy, this together with the back of the bed which echoes the general concept in the project and enriches the experience in the space.
The top floor, fourth level, is a well-equipped home gym, with a shower and toilet for maximum convenience, which includes a couch and a viewing screen intended for leisure hours, where the couple rests between workouts at home.
